I am new to rescue. Please check back to see how I am doing. The initial impression is that I am a sweet girl. I have been told, however, that I am on a diet as I need to lose weight.

Hi, I have been in my foster home for 3 weeks and was very shy at the beginning. Now I have warmed up to my foster mom and I am slowly warming up to dad. I love the outdoors whether I am let out in the yard or go for long walks. I hang out with 2 small dogs and I love to run with them. I am basically a quiet dog and love moderate attention. I love to shake hands and have my nose and forehead rubbed. I'm a little over weight and working on losing it. I am housebroken. Storms (we have had a lot of them!) and fireworks don't bother me. I would prefer to live with a single person or a couple. A couple with older kids okay, but will take a little longer for me to trust them. Please take me home I am very sweet!

I continue to do well in my foster home. I now make a habit of jumping on the bed in the morning for pats. I also ask to be patted at other times during the day. I may not want a lot of attention, but I do want to be near my foster mom. I go where she goes. At the SRCI picnic, I never left her heels. I went to another foster home when she went on vacation. They agree that attention is on my terms, but that I do like to be where the people are.

I am doing well in my foster home. I like to jump on the bed in the morning for some patting.

My foster mom says I would do best as an only dog. I do not like other dogs in my face and I snarl at them. I also do not like it when the other dogs play with squeaky toys. I don’t like the squeak and I bark. I do not play with the other dogs.

On the other hand, she says I am an easy dog to take care of. I want attention to be on my terms and am happy being patted a couple of times a day, when I ask for attention. I do go wherever she goes in the house. If she goes upstairs, I’m right behind her and lay down in whatever room she is in until she is ready to move somewhere else. I walk well on a leash and have enjoyed the walks we’ve gone on. I sleep next to her bed at night and sleep through the night.

I have some arthritis and she has me on glucosamine/chondrotin/msm, which has helped quite a bit.

If you want an only dog, I’m the girl for you.
