Gracie came into rescue as an owner surrender. She was very timid and hid under a bed. In her first foster home, she learned to come out of hiding, to stay in the same room as her foster mother and to enjoy eating. In her current foster home, Gracie has continued to make progress in socialization. She likes to cuddle on the couch and asks for attention. She does still move away when her foster mother walks toward her, but as soon as she sits down, Gracie is there asking for attention. Leash walking is a work in progress. Gracie walks alright on a leash in the house and backyard, but fights to get back into the house when she is taken out front. A fenced yard is a must. Since Gracie is so skittish, she would do best in a home with a privacy fence.
