Cap is an 8 1/2 year old Sheltie mix. He has been in foster care for about 4 weeks. During that time he has been on a weight loss program and has successfully lost 6 pounds. During this time he has also started treatments for hyperthyroidism and is having very positive results, including his fur growing back in.

Cap enjoys going on walks, being part of the pack. He enjoys being loved on, he is a little touchy about having his head being touched.

Cap enjoys laying outside in the warm sun, following his people family and herding his pack of 4 dogs.

He is learning to be gentle when taking treats and playing. His interest in playing outweighs his active participation.

Cap will thrive in a home where he can actively participate with older children and adults. He enjoys walks through Lowe's and getting pets from fellow shoppers. When he walks he does not pull on the lead. Instead walks calmly beside his human.
